High Five Friday - May 18th

Wowza, it's Friday again ?!? High Five Friday.

1) Biggest thing this week was, Maddox graduated from Pre-School. His next stop will be Begindergarten in August! He definitely pushes my buttons but the growth this year in him has been awesome!

 

2) I went all Joanna Gaines on my living room this week and repainted a few tables. The tables were all black to begin with and they bring so much more light to the room now. #joannaismyhero The teal area isn't complete but I'm very excited to move forward with decorating.

3) These Unicorn cupcakes were an order for a friend of mine. Her daughter got to take treats to school for her summer birthday :)
 

4) Saturday the 12th was my 6th Wedding Anniversary - six years of a whirlwind life together, we don't always see eye to eye but he's my ride or die !

5) Finally, Sunday was Mother's Day - again we didn't do much but that is okay with me. We lounged in the morning and went to Boonies for dinner <3

High FIVE for Friday !

A while ago, I started linking up with some girls for a High Five Friday.

What is High Five Friday ? It is where bloggers will go on Friday's to share five highlights or five favorite things from the past week.

1) This past week was busy but awesome. The weather was beautiful so we decided to devote it to being outside. We made it an effort to be outside with both kids each night until dinner. Hopefully next week I will devote some time to planting !

2) I was able to keep two of my friends children and cook them dinner this week while they were busy moving. The kids all played together outside for a few hours and even had a picnic dinner on the patio.

3) Working out since March has been a focus of mine, with a traveling husband I have to make sure to make enough time to doing this as possible. I am in a weight loss challenge with one of my employers and I'm hoping to be in the top three for most lost! This week so far I think I have been to the gym 5 times and walked 3 times outside !

4) Last Sunday, we had a baby shower to welcome a new baby to our 'Mom' group this will make 12 kids now in our group, we are quickly out growing our homes for birthday parties.

5) Also last Sunday, we went to my aunt and uncle's house to fish in the new stocked pond. I never have went fishing and quite frankly I was and still am grossed out by wet, slimy, scaly fish. I put a worm on my own hook and caught about 20 fish. I'm not sure how I feel about it still but I am proud ;)

Hey !!! I'm back !

For anyone that has blogged before; you’ve all probably hit that time when blogging just doesn’t seem like a priority anymore, and before you know it, your last post was timestamped two years ago. Yes, two years and I decided to start blogging over 5 years ago, I had goals...then, well, I had kids. Kids make things complicated but I kept doing my other things and quit blogging. I can't wait to start this journey over again; new blog, new format, new mind and new things. 

I can't even wrap my head around all the things right now...so, let's just pretend like we don't know each other and I will start there. This post has been written, deleted, rewritten, reworded...well you get it about a hundred times. To start - I am Mackenzie, Midwest Mother, Wife, Baker, Banker, Real Estate Assistant, I'm in Direct Sales for not one but two amazing companies; KEEP Collective and Younique. I look forward to giving you something to read !

There is a lot happening in the life of us these days and I have had blogging on my mind, I have had a lot of things on my mind actually. We now have two children, yikes I'm going to be thirty this year...THIRTY!!?? How the hell does this all happen ? It seems to just happen right before our eyes.

With that being said, the blog is back. It has a new feel, it has a new goal, it has a fresh start. Sometimes we all need that fresh start, right?
